I stumbled across this via a google search. Really good info including full hardware dis-assembly, BIOS menus, and detail explanation for all connectors on the motherboard.

Cool - going to the link on the first page of the manual: http://csd.acer.com.tw & selecting End User * "Pan American" as location & I found a 2.50 BIOS dated 10/12/2009 - now I need to go buy one of those VGA cables so I can see the BIOS when it is booting...

The link to this service manual is now included in the Wiki under FAQ/WHS Resources.

No, there is no new BIOS available for the Acer Aspire easyStore H340. You made a wrong selection (Server, Storage, Aspire easyStore), which is a different device. You should have gone through Desktop, easyStore, easyStore H340 and you will see that there is no new BIOS available. Flashing the BIOS of your Acer Aspire easyStore H340 with a wrong firmware will render your device useless, so beware!

I think this may be a good complement to the manual...

Here's a link to the Intel CPU reference for temperature of the Atom

The link (now) requires a password. If you have the actual manual, would you please post it somewhere and put the new link here so its accessable? I've checked Google and the first ten links I checked didn't work out.

Thanks in advance.

I would guess the service manual for the H342 would be helpful for most things. If interested in looking it over, here's a link:

I found same(?) here from 2+ years ago: www.ditii.com/2009/11/01/essential-under-the-hood-reading-aspire-easystore-h340-service-book-manual/.
