Just installed the pp3 on my VMC machine and server without a problem so I'm happy with pp3 at the moment.
I was just browsing the new menus on the VMC and i have a couple of questions about the archiving feature.

Is it possible to just compress a recording ? if i understand this correctly you have to archive the recording and if you want you can convert it but no option of just converting the show.

Can we change the folder where it saves the compress video ? I only have two options "local public videos folder" and "whs videos folder"... i prefer the file to be on a different drive on my local pc or on the public folder of the WHS...is this possible ?

these things never stops to amaze me. I mean they came up with the neat idea of archiving and compressing but no one thought that it would be good to have these options available ?!
And if indeed this was available on beta i assume and removed on the final version is indeed amazing!

I haven't looked into this for PP3, but I remember mucking with recorded tv folder locations in the registry. Search for this and you might find posts related and home in on the registry section. As always, be sure to write down your initial value exactly, should any tinkering need to be reverted. Let us know how this goes if you're feeling adventurous.
