After everything is working, I'll port it to a gadget for the WHS site.

It also allows you to add torrents remotely :

Will this addin be able to run as a service, so I don't have to make sure it's in the startup.
Yep... just install the addin and point it to your uTorrent installation (with username and password).

not that I know of, i have tried a google search, and it looks like it has been requested before, but not made available.

I see other news downloaders that have API's, like sabnzd and NZBMatrix.

I think SABNZD would be the next best if that was something you would look at ?

Posted by Microsoft on 2/23/2011 at 6:25 PMHi, Grim,
I'm sorry that WCF service in our add-in is not supported at this moment. That's why you got this error. We will consider this feature in our planning stage for next release.
Thanks,
Windows Home and Small Business Team
Up until now, this has been the only thing keeping me from making the addin available, i.e. you needed to port forward the uTorrent Web UI port. I'll try and find a workaround.

Kindof a spanner in the works...

Any update on the status? I'd be happy to manually port forward the port just to try it out

Was just going to post on this... I'm putting together a package for beta testing. The addin works fine, but contrary to an earlier statement, you need to port forward your webUI port, until Microsoft fixes a bug that I found (can't just install it and point it to your uTorrent instance). Drop me a PM if you wanna be part of the beta...

I had uTorrent add-in for WHS v1 but now I have WHS 2011 so I would be happy to test your new add-in!
Thanks for the hard work.
