I have a EX495. I literally installed it this evening. Here is what I've got so far.

1) I opened the box and plugged in the power cable and ethernet cable. My router is a E4200 cisco.
2) I installed the HP server software disc on my main Windows 7 notebook. (All went well, set all passwords and even backed up Sony Vaio "A")
3) Tried to install the HP Server on my second Vaio, Vaio "B" (wifes computer).

Here's my issue, on my wifes computer, I get to the point where it says "PASSWORD" for the server, I enter it, and it gives me an error, "Can not complete at this time, please try again later".

So, I moved to my iMac, installed the disc, got to the "back up" point.....time machine.....it says the server is NOT turned on.

What did I do wrong? To much to list? Do I need to adjust something in my router?

Wonder if the connector needs to be updated. I would use the connector software provided in the \\server\software folder
