If I try to set up a new user using the same user name I get a message that a user with the same name already exists. so I know the system understands there is a user. Why then, can't I see it in the Dashboard (or even use that user to connect via Remote Desktop)?

I just set up my WHS2011 on an hp microserver. All went well, updates are applied. All this happened under the "Administrator" user. Now I want to set up a second user with elevated privileges, so that I can avoid using Administrator. I did it from the dashboard and a) there was no way to specify that the user should be administrator (like I can from the User Accounts in Control Panel) and
I saw the user listed under Users on the Dashboard but now I cannot see it.

Why not use the Administrator account? It's what the dashboard uses. And I'm sure WHS2011 is using some trickery with the user accounts, much the same way that WHSv1 does.

I don't mind. Is that ok? I was under the assumption that we should avoid using "Administrator" as an account for "normal use". If this is an exception, I am just fine not managing users :-)
