HI has anybody got a working FTP server on 2011?

Tried Filezilla broke my multible services on the server
Tried FTP via builtin FTP server in IIS could not get it working

I am not a WHS2011 user, but Philip from mswhs.com has just shared a video this morning that the BYOB Podcast did on this very topic. Check it out!

On my WHSv1, I use Serv-U for a FTP. It's not a free solution, but it is nice. If you don't mind RDCing in to administer of course.

Tried this but it did not work.
FTP via IIS is not an option

I am running filezilla on 2011 without issue. What type of problem are you having?

MS FTP server works will on my WHS 2011. By default the FTP configuration controls are not loaded with IIS. One they are added FTP works exactly as it does on the ful version. Once set up, remember to set up NAT in you router , open the FTP port, update security for FTP and then add the user to IIS. All the pieces have to be set up properly or FTP access will fail.
