Hp Ex470 & Drobo

I've had a EX470 since release, and have recently been given a Drobo.

As the drobo is kind of it's own raid, does anyone have a good suggestion on how to set it up?

Do I just plug it in, and add it to the pool? or keep it as a separate drive? and share it.
