I am using this in my Vostro 220 WHS 2011 build.

I had an older HP DVD1040i drive that I wanted to use for the system but had no IDE ports on the mobo.

I added this card and connected the DVD drive and system HDD. Then you need to stop your boot and set the boot order in BIOS and reboot off the WHS 2011 DVD.

When the install comes to the point where it identifies your primary HDD, the drive will probably not show up. Using the disk that comes with the card, copy the Win7 64bit driver to a usb stick, insert it in the WHS and point the installer to the file.

In a few seconds, I was up and running with the rest of the install.

This card also has one external SATA and supports Port Multiplier.
