Morning!
I have a quick question for you guys. I am attempting to set up my WHS2011 NFS so I can connect my ESXi 5 infrastructure to it. However I cannot seem to get it to work.
I have gotten it to work On Win7 to ESXi5 using HaneWin NFS (it's a NFS server for Win7) so I am aware on how to add it and it does inf act work.
So I attempted to use Windows Home server 2011 to do this. When adding the NFS to ESXi it fails. So I set the permissions to anon access but still no avail.
Has anyone tried this before?

There is a guide here on how to do it. They had a similar guide for WHS v1 that I followed with no issues.
I'm currently setting up a WHS 11 VM on ESXi right now to migrate to from v1. I will be using that guide for NFS as well.

I have the NFS mounted finally. Missed one step but its working now. However ESX sees it as having 0.00B free.

HERPA-DERP I fixed it I would like to revise the intructions for anyone else who wants to use ESXi 5 with Windows Home Server 2011
1) Create a NFS Share as shown on said link.
-Ensure to have root access enabled or it will still connect but show 0.00B
2) When prompted to add the datastore in ESXi (or manually under Configuration > Datastore) put in the IP of the NFS, and under the share name put in the path as "/path/dir" or if its in the root of your drive put "/dir".
Do not put: nfs://pc/path (as the guide said)
Do not put: /volume/path (as ESXi wants)
Do not put: HOSTNAME:/path (as WHS says is the network path).
