i bought windows home server for my N36l server. My Server doesnt have an ODD drive as i've installed an extra harddrive there for storage. I'm just wondering how do i get the OS onto a usb drive?
Is it just a case of downloading a tool and creating an image of the installation files and putting on a bootable usb?
Sorry if this has been answered before
Thanks

Hi hungoverbunny,
I believe your question is how to install WHS2011 from a USB stick. To do this you first need make the USB stick bootable and I personally prefer using the diskpart utility tool that is included with windows and the following article describes the process,
http://www.intowindo...m/bootable-usb/
Once done you can just drag the content from your WHS DVD onto the USB stick.
You dont need to muck around with sysprep as described in the link posted in the previous post.
