Hi folks,
my network consists of 1 WHS 2011, 1 PC (originally w7 home premium, upgraded to w7 professional 64 bit) and 1 notebook (W7 professional 32 bit) running on a gigabit-network.
To prevent redundancies I decided to keep all data on the server and link "my documents" on both PC and notebook to the server-share using offline folders to have the files available even if the network is down.
In another environment with WHS v.1 and 5 notebooks running an 54 MBit-WLAN/100 MBit LAN this strategy works perfectly well.
In the above described situation the PC is causing trouble. Each time it starts synchronizing, the machine goes down with a bsod. Strangely the notebook works fine.
I checked the diskspace - more than three times the actual space required is available. The networkspeed can't be the problem, otherwise the notebook wouldn't work either. I have no idea, where else to look.
I hope anybody can help me.
Thanks in advance, Karl
