Alternate Backup Solutions?

Does anyone know if there are any backup solutions that have the same kind of functionality WHS does? Things like de-duping, backing up all the clients to a central backup server etc. etc. I've looked around but so far haven't really found a perfect match. Bacula looks good but I don't think it does deduplication.
I suppose another option, albeit a long shot, would be, is there anyway to break out just the backup piece from WHS and be able to install/run it somewhere else?
Thanks

I wonder why you don't simply use WHS2011 ($40 bucks today at newegg; dirt cheap) and wonder what you have in mind--given what WHS does, you would not want that type of software on a machine that is used for other purposes?Does anyone know if there are any backup solutions that have the same kind of functionality WHS does?

I can't imagine breaking-out the backup functionality as it's too tied to the client connector/WHS software.

It has nothing to do with the price, as a matter of fact I already have it and had it installed and running ever since 2011 came out. Before that I was on the previous version. The issue is that a while back I started using Media Portal which really does not play well at all with WHS. For those of you that may not be familiar, Media Portal is an awesome HTPC suite that allows you to stream live TV (live tv, not internet tv) to any of the clients on your LAN, also streams music, video and a bunch of other things. There was a plugin for WHS 1 called TV4Home but it was kind of limited and as far as I can tell isn't even being worked on anymore.
After months of trying to get it work I finally gave up, and went with Windows 7 as my home server. Works flawlessly, the only thing I kind of miss from WHS is the backup stuff, hence the question.

I get it. Still, I'd be inclined to segregate the two functions anyway, i.e. keep a little WHS2011 server box strictly for backups (and WSUS, which I just love).
But I have lessee a dozen or more PCs here in my little office (and many more elsewhere around our household) so I'm probably the wrong guy to comment...!

WHS 2011 only supports 10 clients and 10 users.... If you need more, you should consider SBS 2011, which supports 25 clients and 25 users.I get it. Still, I'd be inclined to segregate the two functions anyway, i.e. keep a little WHS2011 server box strictly for backups (and WSUS, which I just love).

Or dig up WSSE (Window Storage Server 2008R2 Essentials, IIRC). IT's basically WHS2011 for 25 users/computers.
