I'm hoping somebody can help me I have recently built a Homeserver with the following;

HP Proliant N36L
4GB Ram
HD5450 Graphics card
2x 500GB HDD (internal)
1x 1tb External HDD
LG GGW-H20L Blu-Ray Drive

Running WHS 2011 + MyMovies Add-in

Now I have a large number of blu-ray discs with HD Movies on which had been burned using ImgBurn to play on PS3, and I'm trying to copy them off the discs to the server to they can be streamed.

For some unknown reason the Blu-Ray drive will auto eject the disc after about 60 seconds of copying any file, I have tried numersous discs all with the same probem. LG advised I use a PCI SATA controller, which I have now done, having installed a StarTech PCI SATA controller and ensured all latest drivers and firmware are installed, the problem still persists, however the drive itself is recognised, and accepts CD's/DVD's fine as it was used to install WHS2011 from the Microsoft DVD

I have about 100 discs with files to transfer to the server!! so any help greatfully recieved

I have no idea what is causing this problem, but I would like to suggest a work around until you figure out what is up with your microserver.

Do you have another Blu-Ray Disc player in a computer on your network?

If you do, you could use that computers player to copy your discs. Here is a tutorial that explains how to share network resources.

Any other suggestion from the community?

Hi bobbyc, thanks for the tutorial, I don't have another Blu-Ray drive on another device unfortunately, but using that method I'll see if I can borrow one.

The only other thing I could think of as a workaround would have been to copy from the PS3 by using a large USB stick and doing a few at a time.

I would be happy to get any other advice from the community though. Thanks in advance!!

I did have the AnyDVD as installed with MyMovies, but as I don't have a licence for it I uninstalled soon after
