I have a copy of WHS 2011 that I am trying to load onto a Dell Power Edge 2850. I would like to know if anyone on here has been successful with installing WHS 2011 on a dell power edge 2850.
During installation WHS will error out after it recognizes the drivers for my raid and this leaves me very confused.
I have successfully installed SBS 2008, WS 2008, and WS 2008r2 (all 64 bit) on a DEll Power edge 2850 with no problems.
Can anyone help me out? I really would like to upgrade to WHS 2011.

Your hard drive may be too small. WHS11 requires 160gb or larger for the install drive. Mine did this when I tried to use a 32gb drive and the log showed an error that the drive was too big. I put in a 300gb drive for the install drive and it worked fine in my PE 2850. There is a workaround out there to install to a smaller drive using a usb drive to alter a file but I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks for the reply..
do you know where I can find this workaround? And how is your raid configured?
