Hi, I am trying to install WHS 2011 from genuine DVD but it fails every time after the first reboot at " completeing Installation" The 3 dots still move but nothing else happens and it just sits at the same screen.
My hardware is

Intel Core 2 duo 6300 1.8ghz processor
Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 Motherboard
3 Gigabytes of Ram
250gb Maxtor SATA drive
Sony PATA DVD drive
Radeon HD5450 graphics card.

I did actually get the installation completed once last week but stupidly I inadvertently converted the boot drive to a dynamic disk and it wouldn't boot, just blue screens with a Cache error. So I have been trying to re install it ever since. I have disabled everything I can in the BIOS, USB, on board Sound. I have tried installing it on different drives (140gb using answer file cfg.ini and another 250gb ) but it always fails at the same place. I created a bootable USB stick and copied the WHS DVD to it but that still fails at the same place.

How do I get to the errorlog.txt ? when the installation fails it just sits at the "completing installation screen" with the moving dots I don't get a log displayed or any option to view a log.

  UPDATE >>>> I have actually successfully installed it now. In desperation I tried plugging the Hard drive into a different SATA port. The MB has 2 SATA controllers an Intel one and a Gigabyte one, once I plugged the hard drive into the first Gigabyte port installation ran perfectly, don't know why but I'm a happy bunny.
