Hi All

I have just bought a new HP N54 Microserver, an upgrade for my current N40

Can i litterally take out all the hard drives from the N40 and put them in to the new one?

i have home server 2011 set up with RAID1 on 2 of the drives or do i have to backup and restore to the new server?

Many thanks

That RAID is questionable. As it's not the same controller, it may move over just fine, but it may not.

As for the system drive, it may transfer over just fine. Can't be certain. Looks to be the same CPU and similar hardware, so there is a pretty good chance that it will work fine.

Also, any reason you're not using something like DrivePool, or Drive Bender?
