Mcafee Security Message

I keep getting a pop up warning on my laptop saying Check your Anitvirus Software Status - your anitvirus is either not installed or out of date...
When I click the message it prompts me to sign into my Mediasmart server console and when in that it shows that the network is healthly.
I know my laptops antivirus software is up to date (on both the laptop and server) but this message just won't stop poping up every minute or so.
Could anyone advise me on a solution to this please
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate on the laptop if that makes a difference
Many thanks
Paul

All your problems *should* go away when PP3 is released. Which *should* be sooner than later...
Thanks guys for the replies - is there anyway to stop this message popping up for now as it's driving me mad ! it is coming up every 20 seconds or so (I've counted !!)
Also what is PP3?
Thanks again

PP3 is Power Pack 3 for WHS. Will probably be released early next year.

Just so I understand what is going on. You have McAfee installed on your MSS? What AV is installed on your laptop? Do you have other computers that connect to your WHS? OS and AV on those are what? Also, I assume that you are not getting an error message on those? Also, is the MSS completely up to date on OS updates?
Sorry, lots of questions. It is quite weird that you are getting a message as often as that.

I have Mcafee Total Protection installed on the Server and Mcafee Enterprise 8.7 on my Laptop and a desktop both pc's are running Windows 7 Ultimate. All updates on the AV are upto date on all machines including the server and yes the message is coming up on the desktop as well. I did uninstall the Mcafee add in of the server and then reinstall it but that made no difference.
Not sure if it is of any help to mention but the server icon on tray in the clients is red but on the server all green - any ideas?
Many thanks

I have no idea why this is happening, but the only way to debug is start taking away one problem at time to see what is fighting what.

It would *seem* that the AV packages are having a war with each other. I would start uninstalling an AV program one at a time until the problem goes away.

Many thanks for the reply - which makes sense - is there a away to install Mcafee 8.7 on the server directly ? my line of though would be that all machines would be running the same AV program.
Thanks again

Or you could set the WHS service to run delayed also. Which is what I would prefer to do. Less load on the system at once.
I tried that too but that didn't work for me.
