I am trying to setup Home Server for remote access, when I go to my home sever address I am taken to the router page. Does anyone know how to fix it so it goes to the home server page instead?
In the Console under the Remote Access settings, I am told remote access is "available" and under router it lists the correct router ip and home server ip.

Out of curiosity, what router are you using?
Did you set up remote management in the router?

Besides disabling remote management, have you forwarded port 80 to your WHS?

I had the same problem with my WRT54G, and I disabled the remote management under the HTTPS setting and that fixed my problem. If remote management is enables therouter just thinks that you are trying to log into it and does not correctly foward the port.

It is likely that the NETGEAR DGND3300 router that you have does not support/include local loopback in the stock firmware or it may be turned off if the firmware allows turning it off. If you have an older firmware installed, that may be the case for it not being supported. Update your firmware if you are several revisions behind the current stable release.
Another way of fixing it if local loopback is not supported is to see if that model is supported by a third-party firmware such as DD-WRT or Tomato. I had to install DD-WRT on my older Motorola WR850G Routers to allow me to access a website on the local network by the domain name.
Another solution to fixing this issue is to just add a similar line to the following to your hosts file:
Be sure to change the IP and subdomain to match your details.
