Hi
My Primary System drive became corrupted. (the 20gb partition)

I was in process of transferring some files - around 200gb landed on the Primary drive - but they did not have a chance to distribute to other drives.

So - I can not re-install to get files back. When I look at the D: partition on the primary drive - I see ALL the directory for my complete server (9TB or so) - but I know only 200gb are actually on the drive.

Anyone have any experience at how to actually find out and retrieve the 200gb that are there? I think what I am seeing is the tombstones for the complete server. there are NO files in de/shares. But the drive still says 200gb full...

I am able to see the directory in the shares folder.

copy files from the shares folder does not allow access.

I am tempted to format (quick ) the drive. Tthen use GETDATABACK NTFS to grap whatever files it can find - a 10hour job! but not sure if that will work

thanks

Unless you're using RTM (not even PP1), the landing zone idea is non-existant. WHS writes files to the other HDD's directly rather than migrate them later.

As for where they are located, it should be in D:\DE\shares.

As for 200GB, did you check d:\de\folders, and if there is any data there?
