Hi all! Just got my new WHS up. I bought the CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX which has a fan that really appears to point to the bottom of the case (this PSU installs at the bottom of my mid-tower). There is a vent in the case at the bottom for this, but is that right? There just does not seem to be much clearance for the fan to move air from under the case.

On my Antec P180's where the PSU mounts at the bottom I simply place the fan facing up.
I'm not hip on replacing PSU's and whatever else might fry due to the PSU going *POP* from not getting the proper ventilation through itself and overheating.

Usually in cases where the PSU is mounted at the bottom, there are holes to mount the PSU upside down (fan on top) which is fine.
Some cases, like the Antec P18x series don't, but allow an inch or so for clearance, which is usually enough.

Agree mount it with the fan pointing into the case if at all possible.

OK, thanks everyone! The WHS is off now just in case the PSU was in the wrong way. It will take less than 5 minutes to flip it around. I appreciate the help!
