I have been looking through forums and trying various fixes for a couple days and I don't find anyone with quite the same problem.

I have three computers being backed up, two laptops wirelessly that work fine, starting about a week ago one desktop (win7 ult) that is wired will manually backup properly after a restart but the automatic backup that occurs at night will backup the D: and E: and sytem volumes then immediately fail at the start of the C: backup most of the time, but not always. Error shows client server connection is lost right at that second it begins or the next every time it fails. I have been running WHS for about a year and have not had a failed backup more than half a dozen times before. On C: I have done chkdsk and found no errors and have seen no other intermittent connection issues via shares, connector software, icons, or rdp. I know the computer is waking properly because the other drives are backing up first and computer logs continue after the failure for other things before it reports going to sleep. I ran the troubleshoot connector and the only problem it reported a connector software version mismatch also seen in event viewer as:Windows Home Server protocol mismatch. This computer uses protocol version 6.0.3436.0, but partner computer MY-SERVER uses protocol version 6.0.2423.0. A connection cannot be established.

Tried reinstalling connectors software no help there. Why would a specific drive cause network failure? It is an Intel SSD G1. I am using onboard gig e connection through a trendnet green gig e switch recently purchased, could this be involved? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

1)A failed manual backup before restartHere is some info that may be helpful the error from event viewer:
