Our small office is making the switch from WHSv1 to Windows Server 2008 R2.

I have installed Windows Server 2008 R2 on a new disk drive and now when I attach the old disk drive from WHSv1 and try to copy over the files I get the following message "the file can not be accessed by the system" .

On the details tab in the properties for the files it says that the "owner" is administrator and I am logged on to the new server as administrator.

Any help getting me going transferring the files from the WHSv1 disk to the new Windows Server 2008 R2 disk

Well I must have been a little post happy.

I had the hidden folders turned off and I could not see the \DE\shares instead I was trying to copy from the \shares folder, which are just tombstones.
