Hi

I recently upgraded to BT infinity and got a new home hub 3 router. All good .. very quick!

Opened the ports to allow remote access and this works fine from work and via my mobile phone etc

None of my machines will access my WHS v1 via wireless at home?

My main PC which is connected wirelessly via the router to the server works fine, drives are mapped, but also won't access the server via the web (remote) ie https:// XXX.homeserver.com. (I used the connector software on this one) Tried remote access via the XP machine which recognises the home server as a network place and will access the folders that way and this won't connect via the web either neither will my mobile phone if it is using my home wireless (as opposed to 3g when it will connect via the web) My windows 7 laptop won't access remotely either, it sees the server on the network but can't connect to it

I am stumped but am assuming it is a setting in the router ? .. is it something to do with the unPnP settings?

Any advice / ideas gratefully recieved

I can't remember for the life of me how I got it working last time, but have just had to do a clean install of Windows 7 and now having this problem all over again. XP machines working fine ... W7 will not connect remotely. Having said that one of my W7 laptops will map the shared drives on the server but will not connect via the web (https://XXX.homeserver.com) I just don't get this ....

Please help ... any ideas? .....

Nothing has changed on the server ... the PC has a new name and I have removed the "-" from the name so just letters. I tried unchecking the ipv6 in settings and still nothing .... I have un assigned and reassigned all of the port forwarding on the router (BT home hub 3) just to be sure ..... The machine was working fine prior to the install.

Really stumped guys ...

HELP! (please)

Try using various remote support services such as logmeinrescue.com, gosupportnow.com in order to access the server remotely from your WIN XP and Windows 7 machines. If it works, check network configuration of your router.

Hi .. Now this is really strange... I have hardwired (cat5) the PC to the router (10M of cable!) the connector software loaded and everything worked fine (still no internet access to the server though). Mapped the network drives everything good. Disconnect the cable and the networks are still mapped and I can get to my folder and files on my server. The server connector icon is green showing all is OK with the server. Turn the PC off and on again and now network drives mapped????? I really am stumped with this

I can access my music folder and my videos folder! this really has got me stumped ... if anyone fancies a Skype session to try and sort this I would be very grateful

Just to make sure, the only remaining issue are the mapped drives? If so... that's a very common problem... and I don't think there really is a solution to it.

OK ... interestingly I can get remote access by using the Server IP address. This gives me the remote log in page. So it just looks like the server connector just doesn't want to connect via wireless and the PC will not recognise the server as a network drive. This really has got me stumped.
Any ideas, help, suggestions please
