If you've had success setting up your router using WHS' auto-configuration wizard, please post the manufacturer and model number here.

My Netgear 54 mgps wireless modem router DG8343 v3 was easy to set up and auto configured well.

I have a Linksys BEFSR81 version 4, this is a wired newer model that is out. The newer version has what it takes to make the installation of WHS go smoothly.

This is an update, still using the Linksys BEFSR81 version 4 (US) and have been through many adjustments and so forth. It is still kicking with Auto-Configure and haven't had to do a thing. :D

TP Link TL-WR541G (EDIT: Changed Model Number) works 100% fine!! I suspect that most TP Link routers are fine, but this is the only one I can vouch for.

Can you update your list in the OP? Thanks.

My WRT300N configured fine with the basic home server setup but would not configure with Webguide setup.

The router I'm using is a Linksys WRT54GS running firmware from dd-wrt version 24 rc 6.2. It configures perfectly.

3Com OfficeConnet Wireless 11g (3CRWE554G72T) with firmware 2.01.10
Naturally you need to turn on the UPNP option - in the router configuration it's under Advanced/Security

Linksys RT31P2.

Had UPnP turned off from years ago when it was broken and got you hacked.

Completely impressive how the Live ID / auto configure / domain registration thing all works together.

Hi
I have the netgear gt834gt

and the new belkin n1 vision

Both work perfectly...
But note: The belkin needed the newest firmware update.

ZyXel P-334WT could not verify remote access as being set up correctly but everything works absolutely fine all the same. Similarly with webguide upnp configuration shows an error at the end of setup but in actuality it had configured fine without need of any manual forwarding etc.

My Zyxel P-2602R-D1A did the trick, however just to be on the safe side I also set it manually, it works great on both ways.
When I switch on the remote access through the console WHS detect it's set manually, awasome ;)

My Netgear DG834 V2 works fine

In WHS console has error against "configuring your router" which comes and goes (clear Upnp in router and resetup but then comes back later) but everything works fine
