I've searched the forum and found what to do to disable SBCore. The PDF file is very descriptive and helpful, but my registry entry for the SBCore is different.
When I open the registry, the SBCore folder cannot be expanded (no enum or security folder below it) and the only value on the right side of the window is "Default". There is no additional values such as "Description, Start, Error Control or Type." In addition, if I right on the SBCore folder, it does not show "Administrator" in the group or user area; just shows "System."
If I right click on the "Default" value and try to "modify" an error message appears: "Cannot edit: error reading the values contents."
I'd like to get this Add-In up and running. I'm using an OEM version on the self built server on a Shuttle SN25P chasis.

There is an easier way to disable SBCore:
Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services
Right click SBCore and select Properties
Click on the LogOn tab
Click on Profile1 to select/highlight it
Click on the Disable button
Click on OK/Apply
Reboot your WHS.
I've used this method on my WHS and it works great and has a much lower margin for error.

That's sound much easier. But, I finally got it fixed and got the SBCore disabled the long method. Now we'll see if it shuts down tonight.

I just used this method and it works great. No problems at all. I tested it with 2 client PCs.
