I'm going to buy the Apple iPhone Developer membership soon.

Somehow I forgot to post about the 1.0.5.5 update..

Updates on where the iPhone app currently is (post 1.0.5.5). Some of the screenshots don't match up, mainly because I've changed things from the time I took them (the most up to date screenshot would be the about page). I updated the UX a lot, and fixed the freezing with the mp3 streamer. With the next version, you can stream music and also do something else while in WHS Mobile. Such as stream music and browse shares, or stream and manage users, etc.

Also, I'm planning to post the icons I used for my shares for others to use with their copy. I obviously ripped them from imageres.dll on Windows 7...

You probably won't see this update until I get the Apple membership setup, so I can post it in the App Store. I will be charging $0.99 for the app after I add it to the store. This is only because I need some sort of income to pay for the membership, if Apple didn't charge (yearly), it would stay free.

Hey guys,

I downloaded this app and followed the instructions but i cannot sync it on the iphone. I get The application "WHS Mobile" was not installed on the iphone because an unkown error occurred (0xE8008018)

what am i doing wrong ? Pleaes help.

You are missing the patch I linked to. Please install it via Cydia.

Same error. Screenshots look fine, but it seems this app was never tested with a iPhone device - Simulator is not enough for developing.

I did test it on my iPhone and it works perfectly. Which means that you aren't doing something right.

I got it setup perfectly well on a local network. Having already done the AppSync and Jailbreaking before setting up my second WHS. It works brilliantly on my local network but when it using a slower link (remote Wifi network) it exits when the latency on the remote network is too high. It works at slack traffic times but is patchy when the traffic is high.

Is it possible to build in

1 - A warning that the network connection is too slow
2 - A user setable timeout?

I've only been able to test it over my home Wi-Fi. I don't have service on my iPhone as it's just for development. I'll have to look into adding those requested features.

Can't you put it onto one of the sources that Cydia uses rather than the AppStore?

Do you get an error message? What firmware are you using? 3.x? Did you install the patch that I talked about in the release post?

Hi Brent. Sorry to hassle you, but just wondering if you could update us on when you will be submitting this to the App Store. There are many of us who don't want to jailbreak our iphone and waiting very patiently to pay for your app!

In a nutshell----he's a college student and strapped for funds.....$99 for the Apple Membership Fee is a lot of money to him and I can relate as I have two young sons in college myself.

He has set up a donate button on the Blog and for $10----he will give you a free copy of the add-in and client. (but you are not limited to what you can donate----less or more.....

I WANT this iPhone App----but I will not jailbreak my iPhone.

We need it on the official App Store site to make this totally easy for everyone. I encourage folks to donate if they can.....

A dollar here---a dollar there and pretty soon he has the $99.....

Heck----you can't even EAT somewhere anymore for less than $10-----so I went without lunch today LOL!!!!
